Scholarship Programs

Operation F.A.M. NFP’s goal is to assist youth and young adults across Michigan & Illinois in making more informed decisions about their schooling, careers, and personal finances by educating them in those areas.  Providing scholarships will promote educational and career efforts for high school and college students by offering financial assistance towards tuition and fees for a student while attending college, university, or trade school. Scholarships range from $500-$2500 and will be non-discriminatory, based on merit, and open to applications from the general public.

Criteria of eligibility are as follows:

  1. Be a senior in High School in the State of Michigan or the State of Illinois
  2. Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above
  3. Combined family income is under two times the Federal Poverty Level
  4. Complete application form
  5. List any extracurricular activities
  6. Confirmation of admission to university, college, or trade school prior to funds being awarded
  7. Official copies of high school transcript
  8. Three letters of recommendation (at least two from current or former instructors)
  9. One - 250 word essay on why professional development, academic development, or financial literacy is important in today's society
  10. One - 250 word essay on why you think you are the best candidate for this scholarship
